Food choices are easy because you have food freedom and a solid foundation, maybe for the first time in your life, on the optimal diet. Now what? During my living WILDFIT journey and after hearing from my clients, I share my top 5 WILDFIT hacks to make things just a little bit easier!
My Living WILDFIT Hacks
#1 Chop your salad greens with a food processor
Two of The Six Human HungersTM are variety and nutritional hunger so we need to increase our quality and quantity of green vegetables. I mean, that’s why we have the AlkagizerTM! However, we don’t just drink our veggies. Instead, when making a salad, take your greens (several handfuls) and place them in a food processor to chop them up into little pieces. Now your salad base is easier to eat, and you can fit a lot more on your plate to consume more veggies.
#2 Prep your food for the week
Preparation and never feeling hungry is another WILDFIT principle. To make sure you have everything you need for the week to grab on the go and make quick meals, wash, chop, and prep all your fruits and vegetables. I use storage containers designed explicitly for produce, so they stay fresh all week. Proper storage based on the type of fruit or vegetable is key to sustained freshness.
#3 Brush your teeth right after your last meal
We all brush our teeth before going to bed, and after brushing our teeth, we do not eat any more food at night. Right? So, when you are planning your 12 or 16 hours fast to maintain a healthy metabolism, brush your teeth right after your last meal or snack. Brushing your teeth will signal to your body that eating is done for the day and help curb the late-night munchies.
#4 Exercise first thing in the morning
Ever heard of The 5 AM Club by Robin Sharma? Exercise first thing in the morning is one of the components and fits nicely with living WILDFIT to keep your metabolism using the right fuel source to maximize your energy! As a bonus, pick something you can do while multitasking through your email, social media feeds, or reading a book. Getting it all done at once (I ride a recumbent bike for 30 minutes before hitting the weights) is liberating and very efficient. Hey, most gyms have wi-fi, so why not! Oh, and while exercising, you will consume more water first thing in the day to satisfy your Thirst hunger. Bonus!
#5 Find your go-to WILDFIT approved food brands for quick shopping and snacking
If you have been through the WILDFITTM Challenge, you know how hard it is to find foods without added sugar and the right ingredients for quick snacks.
